As a Sourcing Analyst, you'll support the Firm's procurement strategies by partnering closely with internal stakeholders and Sourcing team members to evaluate vendors, analyze markets, and drive informed, value-focused decisions. This role supports sourcing initiatives across a broad range of business services-including Facilities & Operations, Construction, Finance, and Travel-helping ensure sourcing efforts align with business needs, firm policies, and long-term objectives.</p> <ul> <li>Stakeholder Partnership & Category Support - Build trusted relationships with internal business stakeholders to understand sourcing and contracting needs, provide guidance on best practices, and ensure compliance with firm policies. </li><li>RFx & Vendor Evaluation - Create and administer Requests for Information, Proposals, or Quotes (RFx), evaluate vendor responses, and prepare pricing analyses for review with stakeholders and senior team members. </li><li>Market & Category Insights - Monitor category trends, conduct market research, and recommend cost-reduction strategies such as vendor consolidation or value engineering to drive measurable savings. </li><li>End-to-End Procurement Management - Oversee procurement activities for assigned categories or projects, proactively tracking progress and communicating with stakeholders, vendors, and Procurement team members to resolve issues or delays. </li><li>Risk Identification & Mitigation - Support the identification of supply chain risks, including supplier disruption, quality concerns, geopolitical factors, and regulatory compliance considerations. </li><li>Data Analysis & Reporting - Analyze data from multiple sources to assess pricing strategies, benchmark suppliers, manage expiring agreements, and maintain reporting within the firm's contract management database. </li><li>Contract & Pricing Support - Assist with pricing and contract negotiations under the guidance of team leadership, preparing negotiation materials, pricing models, deal summaries, and analyses of vendor quotes to maximize overall value. </li></ul> <p>What You'll Bring</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Finance, Supply Chain, Operations, Project Management, or a related business field required; with 2+ years of experience in Procurement, Sourcing, or Vendor Management, with a strong foundation and eagerness to continue building expertise. </li><li>Analytical & Financial Skills - Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data, assess pricing, and support value-driven decisions. </li><li>Professional Judgment & Communication - A customer-service mindset and sound professional judgment when working with attorneys, staff, and suppliers, including the ability to safeguard confidential client and firm information. </li><li>Category Exposure - Experience supporting sourcing categories such as professional services, office supplies, temporary staffing, facilities, travel, meetings and events, technology, or electronic subscriptions is preferred. </li><li>Industry Insight - Prior experience in a law firm or professional services environment, along with advanced financial analysis or process management skills, is a plus. </li><li>Growth Mindset - High attention to detail, curiosity, and a desire to learn and grow within a dynamic, collaborative environment. </li><li>Technology Proficiency - Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (MS Office), particularly Microsoft Excel for data analysis; experience with Spend Analytics tools, contract databases, and Procure-to-Pay (P2P) systems is strongly preferred. </li></ul> <p>If you're excited to support strategic sourcing initiatives, analyze market data to drive smarter decisions, and collaborate with teams across the firm to create meaningful value, we'd love to hear from you.</p> <p>If you're excited to support strategic sourcing initiatives, analyze market data to drive smarter decisions, and collaborate with teams across the firm to create meaningful value, we'd love to hear from you.</p> <p>Compensation</p> <p>The base salary range below represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position in Chicago. This range may differ based on your geographic location and cost of living considerations. At Kirkland & Ellis, we consider compensation more than just a base salary.
