Our team is growing, and we are looking for talented individuals like you!</p> <p>Position: Accounting Manager</p> <p>Location: Carolina Regional Office - Raleigh, NC (Onsite)</p> <p>Competitive Pay: $70,000-$80,000 per year (based on experience & qualifications)</p> <p>Office Hours: Monday - Friday 8:30 to 5pm</p> <p>What You'll Do</p> <p>As an Accounting Manager, you'll ensure financial accuracy and support the success of our communities. Key responsibilities include:</p> <ul> <li>Leading and mentoring accounting personnel, including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Staff Accountants. </li><li>Managing hiring, training, performance reviews, and professional development for accounting team members. </li><li>Serving as backup for AP, AR, and Staff Accountant roles as needed. </li><li>Coordinating year-end updates for association fees and financial data. </li><li>Working with Operations and Corporate offices to set up new properties, management contracts, and financial balances. </li><li>Partnering with collection attorneys on liens, foreclosures, and bankruptcy accounts; attending court hearings when required. </li><li>Managing association bank accounts, CDs, transfers, and reserve funds to ensure accuracy. </li><li>Reviewing and resolving financial issues, reconciliations, and preparing association tax filings. </li><li>Meeting with Association Boards to address financial and budgeting issues. </li><li>Supporting both ongoing and special financial projects. </li></ul> <p>What We're Looking For</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred, plus 2+ years of accounting experience (or equivalent). </li><li>Proven accounting experience with a strong background in collections </li><li>Prior supervisory experience required; ability to lead, mentor, and motivate accounting staff </li><li>Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices </li><li>Advanced math skills, including ratios, percentages, financial tracking, and projections </li><li>Proficient with a 10-key calculator and standard office software </li><li>Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills </li><li>Experience working with attorneys, legal processes, and financial reporting preferred </li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to interact effectively with boards, managers, and corporate leadership </li></ul> <p>Why Join Towne?</p> <p>At Towne Properties, we care for our associates as much as our communities.
