<p>Nature of Work</p> <ul> <li>Selected applicant will be housed in the WV Lottery building, but will travel extensively statewide.* </li></ul> <p>The mission of the West Virginia Alcohol Beverage Control Administration is to regulate, enforce, and control the sales and distribution, transportation, storage, and consumption of alcoholic liquors and nonintoxicating beer as mandated by the West Virginia Liquor Control and Nonintoxicating Beer Act. This position will be responsible the DUI Simulator Program to combat underage drinking and educating the youth about the dangers of drinking and driving as well as distracted driving.</p> <p>Ideal Candidate Must:</p> <ul> <li>Be prepared to perform all work in an expeditious and efficient manner with attention to detail and according to current guidelines and directives. </li><li>Be able to work independently, meet deadlines, and interpret and apply procedures based on the task at hand. </li><li>Be able to effectively interact with WVABCA departments, staff, and licensees in a courteous and professional manner. </li><li>Be responsible for his/her own work within the framework of desired objectives, priorities, and deadlines. </li><li>Have a working knowledge of business etiquette, good grammar, spelling, and math skills. </li><li>Have the ability to compose standard business correspondence. </li><li>Exhibit appropriate interpersonal skills and be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in written form. </li><li>Maintain a clean, neat, and organized workspace. </li><li>Have the ability to safely drive, park, maneuver, and perform light maintenance on a ¾ ton pickup truck and trailer. </li><li>Maintain a valid state issued driver's license. </li><li>Qualify to hold a state issued Purchasing Card. </li><li>Maintain confidentiality at all times. </li></ul> <p>Ideal Candidate Will:</p> <ul> <li>Be primarily responsible for the agencies DUI Simulator and public health programs. </li><li>Maintain contact with WV secondary schools, colleges, universities, law enforcement, and the general public for event scheduling, communication, presentation, and demonstration of the DUI simulator. </li><li>Research, develop, prepare, present, and track all agency educational programs including, but not limited to, Driver Safety Training, conference planning, brochures, and informational materials. </li><li>Assist the grant coordinator with administration and processing of agency grants. </li><li>Travel significantly, and be responsible for making all travel arrangements using a state issued P-Card including reconciliation under state guidelines. </li></ul> <p>During slack periods of education activities, the candidate may be required to assist other agency divisions. Those duties may include, but are not limited to:</p> <ul> <li>Assisting the licensing division with clerical tasks using standard office equipment and software. Interacting with licensees and answering the agencies' main phone line. </li><li>Work with the WVABCA distribution center warehouse by assisting with audits of vendor products, receiving and shipping of product, picking cases of product during heavy volume times, providing support in the file room, and work overtime to complete inventory counts or assist in audits </li><li>At the discretion of the Commissioner, perform other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Click The APPLY Link To Apply Online.</p> <p>IMPORTANT:Your eligibility will be based on information provided in your resume or application; therefore, make sure your resume or application is detailed and complete.
