<p>John Boner Neighborhood Centers (JBNC) is seeking Group Fitness Instructors to join the Fitness Zone team. Group fitness instructors will lead members, in a group environment, through safe and effective fitness classes. This position is responsible for providing group exercise fitness instruction and supervision in a variety of formats. We are eager to launch Group Fitness Cycling Classes to our community!</p> <p>This position is part-time, reports to the Director of Fitness and Wellness and will work from the Fitness Zone location. Each 2-hour class includes 1.5 hours of instruction and .5 hours of set-up and member questions after class. Pay is $18 per hour with a 2-hour minimum ($36 per class).</p> <p>Here's what a day as a Group Fitness Instructor might look like:</p> <ul> <li>Designing a group fitness class for varying levels, including counting, cueing, organizing choreography, and more </li><li>Mentoring and instructing IUPUI student staff to support group fitness instruction and supervision </li><li>Cleaning and tidying a groups fitness room before or after class </li><li>Meeting individual class participants before and after class to answer fitness-related questions pertaining to the class </li><li>Promoting and marketing the group fitness classes to the community and Fitness Zone members </li></ul> <p>You will thrive in this position if you:</p> <ul> <li>Excel at teaching a variety of fitness classes, though Cycling, specifically is required for this position. </li><li>Enjoy meeting people and working in a diverse environment with people from diverse backgrounds </li><li>Have weekend and evening work availability </li></ul> <p>These are things we are looking for from our Group Fitness Instructor - Cycling</p> <ul> <li>Have current certification(s) for Cycling, including adult CPR/AED </li><li>1 - 3 years of group fitness instruction </li><li>Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus </li></ul> <p>John H.
