<p>Department</p> <p>Health Information Management</p> <p>Job Summary</p> <p>ONSITE FULLTIME</p> <p>This leader has accountability and oversight, and supervises the daily activities of the department, shift or area. In this role, the leader sets the tone and models positive leadership behavior, while ensuring individual and team work tasks, projects, and responsibilities are completed successfully in support of departmental and organizational goals.</p> <p>Required Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Require a bachelor's degree. </li><li>Require a Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) certification. </li><li>Require three (3) years of coding management experience. </li><li>Require proficiency in ICD-9-CM, ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, and CPT coding systems. </li><li>Require demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology, Anatomy and Physiology, abnormal lab values, disease processes, and pharmacology drug names. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Prefer a master's degree. </li><li>Prefer Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) certification or Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) accreditation from the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA). </li><li>Prefer five (5) years of inpatient/outpatient coding experience. </li><li>Prefer an AHIMA ICD-10 trainer certification. </li><li>Prefer previous auditing experience with the ability to design audit tools and strong training background in coding and reimbursement. </li><li>Prefer knowledge of Conditions of Participation (COP) requirements, CMS, HIPAA, AHCA, Florida State statutes, and other health care regulations. </li><li>Prefer demonstrated ability to be well organized, to meet tight deadlines, and multi-tasking. </li><li>Prefer ability to work independently, shift priorities, and demonstrate decision making ability. </li><li>Prefer demonstrated ability to be a team player and delegate work as appropriate. </li></ul> <p>Monday - Friday</p> <p>8am-4:30pm</p>
