<p>The Assistant Director of Advancement and Stewardship is responsible for designing and directing the College of Law's donor stewardship program, ensuring donors at all levels are recognized and informed of the impact of their philanthropy. The Assistant Director manages a select portfolio of donors for stewardship purposes, individualizing touch points and fund reporting. The Assistant Director also leads the execution of all stewardship-focused events, managing metrics/leading indicators of progress, and supporting operational compliance within the department. The Assistant Director is involved with all aspects of the development database (Citrus) ensuring accuracy of records, including gift entries, donor acknowledgement letters and donor reports. The Assistant Director will also manage metrics/leading indicators of fundraising progress and supporting operational compliance within the department.</p> <p>Education and Experience</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree, experience with donor databases and proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. </li><li>Experience working in philanthropy and with donors strongly preferred. </li></ul> <p>Skills and Knowledge</p> <ul> <li>Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with staff at all levels of the organization. </li><li>Excellent project management skills and the ability to organize and establish objectives and priorities in a complex organizational environment. </li></ul> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Independently designs, ensures execution, and tracks stewardship of donors and funds from annual giving, as well as planned and endowment gifts. </li><li>Will use web, print, and individual reporting for these purposes. This includes preparing fund and donor-specific reports, which requires gathering information from multiple sources and working with colleagues to ensure accuracy and that donor's wishes are honored. </li><li>Conduct curtailed stewardship to a select portfolio of major gift donors (those that have given $100,000-$1,000,000+) for stewardship purposes. </li><li>Develops creative and individualized opportunities for stewardship and engagement of donors. </li><li>Will manage the weekly gift acknowledgment process as well as provide data analytics and reporting of weekly giving progress. </li><li>Assist the College of Law frontline development staff in the management of their portfolios. </li><li>Identify perspective major gift donors through annual donor analysis. </li><li>Record prospect and donor information in Citrus. </li><li>Ensures accuracy and updates to all donor reports and signage, including scholarships and named spaces. </li><li>Partner with the Dean/Assistant Dean and the College of Law Advancement Team in high-level alumni and donor visits to campus to meet with School leadership, faculty, and students; plan individualized itineraries that not only steward past giving but cultivate interest in further support of the school. </li><li>Serves as team's point of contact with Donor Relations, Financial Aid, and department-specific budget managers and/or the appropriate staff overseeing donor-supported scholarship/fund decisions. </li><li>Manages fund use questions and challenges in partnership with College of Law Budget Office. </li><li>Leads planning and execution of stewardship-focused events, on and off-campus, including the College of Law's Board of Advisors. </li><li>Assist the Assistant Dean of Advancement in Board of Advisor meeting preparation. </li><li>Manages the College of Law's Advancement Team operational budget including event budget planning. </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements</p> <p>Not Applicable</p> <p>Tools/Equipment</p> <p>Not Applicable</p> <p>Application Instructions</p> <p>In addition to completing an online application, please attach a resume and cover letter.</p>
