<p>Position Description</p> <p>General Overview</p> <p>Under supervision; assists Engineering personnel with routine technical assignments, receives construction drawings, assists survey party, inspects environmental system for conformance to standards, maintains records, prepares reports. Performs other related duties as required.</p> <p>Required Qualifications</p> <p>Any combination of training and work experience which indicates possession of the skills, knowledge and abilities listed below. Completion of secondary education supplemented by college level coursework in Civil, Environmental, Sanitary or a related Engineering discipline. Possession of a valid State of Ohio Drivers license.</p> <p>Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities</p> <p>Advanced knowledge of Engineering technology. Basic knowledge of blueprint reading; water hydraulics; departmental policies and procedures; surveying. Ability to deal with problems involving several variables in a familiar context; use geometry and trigonometry; proofread technical materials, recognize errors and make corrections; cooperate with co-workers on group projects.</p> <p>(*Indicates developed after employment).</p> <p>Job Duties</p> <p>The duties listed below are intended to depict tasks performed by this classification. Receives and reviews construction log-in and as-built drawings; identifies and refers problems to appropriate engineering personnel. Compiles and analyzes data, prepares reports; reviews consulting engineering reports for conformance with objectives and accuracy of computation. Designs simple environmental systems; conducts inspections of engineering systems for conformance to material and construction specification; make recommendations regarding approval; maintains inspection records; traces drawings; reduces notes to drawings; serves as a member of the survey crew; uses engineering level; makes routine engineering calculations.</p> <p>Work location: 538 E.
