You will support engineering teams with precise field data, research land records, and maintain accurate documentation using industry-standard software and equipment.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Conduct topographical, boundary, ALTA, staking, and construction layout surveys </li><li>Process, download, and upload survey data in AutoCAD/Civil 3D </li><li>Research land records, deeds, maps, and associated documentation </li><li>Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and field teams </li><li>Work directly with the survey crew and survey manager across multiple job sites </li></ul> <p>Required Skills & Experience</p> <ul> <li>Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D </li><li>Experience in survey drafting </li><li>Minimum 2 years of land surveying experience </li><li>Hands-on experience with Leica, Topcon, or comparable total station equipment </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Experience with Trimble GPS and boundary survey software </li><li>Familiarity with ALTA surveys and topographic mapping </li><li>Ability to work effectively in outdoor environments in varying field conditions </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>This is a field-first role with a blend of office-based data processing and documentation.</p> <ul> <li>Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-3:30 PM (overtime and some weekends as needed) </li><li>Coverage: Job sites throughout Connecticut and occasionally New York </li><li>Environments include construction sites, wooded areas, and varied terrain </li><li>Physical activity and outdoor work are required </li></ul> <p>Benefits</p> <p>As a member of one of the region's top engineering firms, you'll receive a strong and competitive benefits package:</p> <ul> <li>Major medical insurance </li><li>401(k) profit-sharing plan </li><li>Life insurance, short-term disability, and AD&D coverage </li><li>Paid vacation, holidays, and sick time </li><li>Direct deposit payroll </li><li>Health club membership </li></ul> <p>Job Type & Location</p> <p>This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Shelton, CT.</p> <p>Pay and Benefits</p> <p>The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.</p> <p>Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
