<p>Job Description:</p> <p>Job Title: Lead BHT</p> <p>Location: Saint Louis, MO</p> <p>Department: Recovery Services</p> <p>Employment Type: Full-Time</p> <p>Job Summary:</p> <p>The Lead Behavioral Health Technician (Lead BHT) plays a vital role in supporting individuals on their recovery journey while helping guide and mentor a team of Behavioral Health Technicians. The Lead BHT also supports daily operations by orienting clients to program expectations, guiding team members through programmatic processes, and ensuring consistent, high-quality care throughout post to learn more </li></ul> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Lead and support Behavioral Health Technicians during assigned shifts, providing guidance, direction, and real-time coaching </li><li>Create and maintain a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment by supervising daily client activities and modeling appropriate behavior </li><li>Facilitate educational and recreational groups that support treatment goals and client engagement </li><li>Assist with training, orientation, and ongoing development of Behavioral Health Technicians </li><li>De-escalate crisis situations in collaboration with Program Leadership using approved interventions </li><li>Coordinate staffing needs by assisting with scheduling and providing coverage for open shifts as needed </li><li>Prepare and support group education materials aligned with program goals </li><li>Ensure accurate and timely documentation in compliance with State Regulatory and CARF standards </li><li>Communicate relevant client behaviors and program updates to the treatment team </li><li>Support medication administration processes in accordance with all program policies </li><li>Complete performance reviews for direct reports within designated timelines </li><li>Perform all duties of a Behavioral Health Technician as needed </li><li>Demonstrate commitment to the organization's short-term and long-term goals </li><li>Complete additional duties as assigned by leadership </li></ul> <p>Education, Experience, and/or Credential Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Psychiatric Nursing, or a closely related field OR </li><li>High School Diploma or GED with a minimum of two (2) years of responsible employment history </li><li>Experience in human services or a related field preferred </li><li>St. Louis County Programs: Bachelor's Degree OR MAADC I or II </li><li>Exceptions to qualifications may be approved by the appropriate Executive Team member </li></ul> <p>Additional Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Must successfully complete background checks, including criminal history, driving record, and abuse/neglect screening </li><li>Must complete New Hire Orientation within 30 days of employment </li><li>Must complete all required training, including Relias, within two (2) weeks of employment and annually thereafter </li><li>First Aid certification required within three (3) months of hire and upon renewal </li><li>CPR certification required within three (3) months of hire and upon renewal </li><li>Must complete Behavioral Management training within required timeframes based on program type </li><li>Must meet annual training hour requirements per regulatory standards, including ASAM training where applicable </li><li>Must possess a valid driver's license in state of residency with an acceptable driving record </li><li>Must be at least 21 years of age to operate a company-owned vehicle </li><li>Must be at least 23 years of age to operate a company-owned 15-passenger van </li><li>For Residential Care Facilities: Must obtain Level 1 Med Aid (LIMA) credential and insulin certification within 90 days of hire </li><li>For select locations and programs: Must provide proof of being free from infectious or contagious disease prior to hire and annually thereafter </li><li>For Adolescent Programs: Must complete required adolescent-focused training within six (6) months of employment </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods of time </li><li>Ability to walk and climb stairs as needed </li><li>Frequent kneeling, crouching, bending, and stooping </li><li>Ability to use hands and fingers for writing, typing, and handling documents </li><li>Ability to communicate verbally and hear effectively in person and by phone </li><li>Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds </li><li>Ability to maintain
