<p>Job Title: Construction Superintendent</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>We are seeking a Construction Superintendent to oversee daily operations on construction sites, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to coordinate teams effectively. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and productive work environment.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Manage and supervise all on-site construction activities, ensuring adherence to project plans and specifications. </li><li>Enforce safety regulations and company policies, conducting regular site inspections to maintain a hazard-free environment. </li><li>Lead and direct subcontractors, suppliers, and labor teams, ensuring seamless collaboration and efficiency. </li><li>Monitor project schedules and budgets, making adjustments as needed to meet deadlines and financial goals. </li><li>Conduct site inspections and quality control checks, ensuring all work meets industry standards and client expectations. </li><li>Serve as the primary point of contact for project managers, clients, and stakeholders, providing updates and addressing concerns. </li><li>Identify and resolve any issues or delays that arise during construction, implementing effective solutions to keep projects on track. </li><li>Maintain accurate records of site activities, progress reports, and compliance documentation. </li></ul> <p>Essential Skills</p> <ul> <li>Proven track record as a Superintendent in the construction industry, with a strong understanding of project management. </li><li>Expertise in construction processes, materials, and safety protocols, with the ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. </li><li>Ability to lead and motivate teams, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment. </li><li>Strong analytical skills to anticipate challenges and implement effective solutions. </li><li>Familiarity with project management software and digital tools for scheduling and reporting. </li><li>OSHA certification preferred. </li></ul> <p>Additional Skills & Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Experience working on healthcare projects and/or manufacturing, clean rooms, biopharma. </li><li>PMP certification. </li><li>Experience with change orders, RFIs, submittals, take-offs. </li><li>Proficiency in MS Project, Procore, Sage software. </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>Work hours are from 7am to 4pm. Work sites are located in Connecticut (Fairfield, Hartford, New Haven counties) and one in Poughkeepsie, NY.
