Aviation projects are primarily airport-related, including but not limited to aviation related facilities including roadway systems, access control, and the design and construction of aviation infrastructure.</p> <p>We are seeking an experienced Airfield Electrical Design & QA QC Specialist to support design, construction, and quality oversight of aviation and airfield infrastructure projects. This role blends airfield electrical design support, QA/QC, and construction administration to ensure compliance with FAA ACs, UFC, NEC, and contract requirements across all project phases.</p> <p>This position is ideal for a seasoned professional with deep hands on experience in airfield lighting systems, inspections, and technical coordination in active airport environments.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <p>Design Support</p> <ul> <li>Support airfield electrical design and layout per FAA ACs and UFC, using AutoCAD and Bluebeam </li><li>Design and review systems including: Airfield lighting and signage, Conduit and cable systems, Vault upgrades and CCRs, RWIS and NAVAIDs </li><li>Coordinate design efforts with the FAA and airport stakeholders </li><li>Prepare technical specifications and design analysis reports </li><li>Assist with cost estimating and quantity takeoffs </li><li>Perform QC reviews of plans and specifications </li><li>Conduct constructability reviews </li><li>Participate in client and stakeholder meetings </li></ul> <p>QA / QC & Inspection</p> <ul> <li>Perform electrical inspections for runway, taxiway, and airfield projects </li><li>Verify compliance with FAA standards, NEC, approved plans, and specifications </li><li>Review test results, material certifications, and inspection documentation </li><li>Identify deficiencies and verify corrective actions </li><li>Maintain inspection reports and project records </li></ul> <p>Construction Administration (CA) Support</p> <ul> <li>Review and respond to RFIs </li><li>Review contractor submittals </li><li>Assist with RFQs, field orders, and change orders </li><li>Conduct limited field observations/site visits </li><li>Participate in construction and coordination meetings </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <ul> <li>Combination of office-based design support and limited field work </li><li>Active airport and secured movement-area environments </li><li>Occasional night or weekend work tied to airfield closures </li></ul> <p>#WCTRANSPORTATION</p> <p>Here's what you'll need</p> <ul> <li>Colorado Journeyman Electrician License (or equivalent) </li><li>Extensive experience with airfield electrical systems and airport projects </li><li>Strong background in QA/QC and inspection </li><li>Proficiency in AutoCAD and Bluebeam </li><li>In depth knowledge of FAA ACs, UFC, and NEC </li><li>Experience working in active airport environments </li><li>Strong communication and documentation skills </li><li>Willingness and ability to be assigned to projects outside of home office location, including temporary or project based travel as required. </li><li>5+ years QA/QC or inspection experience </li><li>20+ years airfield lighting experience </li></ul> <p>Posted Salary Range: Minimum</p> <p>105,700.00</p> <p>Posted Salary Range: Upper</p> <p>150,000.00</p> <p>Our health and welfare benefits are designed to invest in you, and in the things you care about.
