<p>Students may only have 5 open job applications at a time.</p> <p>Work Experience:</p> <p>Entry-Level (Foundational)</p> <p>Work Experience Description:</p> <p>Suitable for students with basic foundational knowledge and little to no practical experience, ideal for freshmen or sophomores who have completed only introductory courses.</p> <p>Department</p> <p>Islands of Tahiti</p> <p>Position Scope</p> <ul> <li> <p>Provides cultural information through demonstrations and lectures, and teaches songs, dances, crafts, games and cultural phrases to guests.</p> </li><li> <p>Learns how to create, maintain and/or do repairs of moderate difficulty on cultural artifacts, buildings, and props using a variety of equipment and materials.</p> </li><li> <p>Performs other job-related duties as assigned by the manager.</p> </li></ul> <p>Requirements</p> <ul> <li> <p>Must be in good health and have a voice that can endure up to four hours of speaking in any given time frame</p> </li><li> <p>Must be capable of moving freely among the guests and be capable of a full range of body movement.</p> </li><li> <p>Must be able to communicate in English.</p> </li><li> <p>Must know the basics of playing the ukulele.</p> </li><li> <p>Must look Polynesian.</p> </li><li> <p>Should be knowledgeable about the culture being represented.</p> </li><li> <p>Should be able to speak the language of the culture being represented.</p> </li><li> <p>Should be a high school graduate.</p> </li><li> <p>No prior work experience necessary.</p> </li></ul> <p>Must attach Resume and Spring 2025 class schedule (weekly view).</p> <p>Work Schedule</p> <p>19 hours, To Be Determined</p> <p>Approximate starting hourly rate:</p> <p>$14.00 - $16.00</p> <p>The wage offered could be above or below range based on education and experience as it relates to the job description.</p> <ul> <li>Must exemplify the university Honor Code, including the Dress and Grooming Principles and Expectations </li><li>Preference will be given to students who can work during academic breaks </li></ul>
