Visit our website at www.ripleys.com.</p> <p>Basic Function:</p> <p>A Guest Service Ambassador is responsible for maintaining high quality Guest Service including, generating sales, housekeeping, cash register operations (POS), and adherence to all Company Policy/Attraction standards. This position is part-time and may include shifts scheduled during 9am - midnight, every day of the year including holidays.</p> <p>Principal Responsibilities:</p> <ol> <li> <p>Ensure that each Guest receives outstanding Service by providing a positive and friendly environment which includes greeting and acknowledging every Guest, maintaining outstanding standards, museum exhibit knowledge and all other components of Guest Service.</p> </li><li> <p>Actively sell tickets, guidebooks, and other retail items as assigned in a positive and friendly environment.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain a clean and safe environment for our Guests and employees. Museum show quality and presentation should be maintained at the highest level.</p> </li><li> <p>Adhere to all Company policies, procedures and practices, including safety.</p> </li><li> <p>Accurately and efficiently complete all sales transactions and maintain proper cash and media accountabilities at POS registers.</p> </li><li> <p>Communicate Guest requests to management.</p> </li><li> <p>Any other duties as assigned by management.</p> </li></ol> <p>Essential Skills / Requirements:</p> <ol> <li> <p>Ability to process information/merchandise through computer system and POS register system.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to communicate with associates and guests.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to read, count and write to accurately complete all documentation.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to freely access all areas of the store including selling floor, stock area, and register area.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to operate and use all equipment necessary to run the store.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to climb ladders.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to move or handle merchandise throughout the store generally weighing 0-50 pounds.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to work varied hours/days as business dictates.</p> </li><li> <p>High school diploma or equivalent.</p> </li></ol> <p>The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this job.
