<p>Job Description:</p> <p>Position: Water Systems Manager</p> <p>Location: Department of Public Works</p> <p>Date Opened: January 10, 2025</p> <p>Date Closed: Until Filled</p> <p>Position Type: Full Time / Union / Benefited</p> <p>Salary: $87,105 - $108,381 (salary step system)</p> <p>Statement of Duties:</p> <p>The Water Systems Manager is responsible for management of the public water systems under the authority of the Water Commission.</p> <p>Essential Functions:</p> <p>The essential functions or duties listed below are intended only as illustrations of the various type of work that may be performed. The omission of specific statements of duties does not exclude them from the position if the work is similar, related, or a logical assignment to the position.</p> <ul> <li>Supports the Water Commission in the management of the City's water system </li><li>Prepares for and facilitates the Water Commission monthly meetings </li><li>Maintains statistics and data in order to generate periodic reports and the Annual Statistical Report </li><li>Issues water permits and maintains a tracking system of all permits </li><li>Participates in the determination of water revenues and rates on an ongoing basis </li><li>Prepares the departmental budget, tracks expenditures and makes projections </li><li>Gather data and information for and issues the consumers confidence reports annually </li><li>Generates, prepares and submits monthly reports to be submitted to the state </li><li>Participates in regulatory actions as needed </li><li>Performs related work as required </li></ul> <p>Supervision Required:</p> <p>Under administrative direction, employee plans and prioritizes the majority of work independently, in accordance with standard practices and previous training. Employee is expected to solve most problems of detail or unusual situations by adapting methods or interpreting instructions accordingly.</p> <p>Judgment:</p> <p>The work requires examining, analyzing and evaluating facts and circumstances surrounding individual problems, situations or transactions, and determining actions to be taken within the</p> <p>limits of standard or accepted practices.
