<p>Overview</p> <p>Job Summary</p> <p>A Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) with a limited X-ray license in an ambulatory care setting typically combines clinical and administrative duties related to patient care, including performing X-rays within their scope of practice. This role involves assisting physicians with procedures, taking vital signs, preparing patients for exams, and managing patient flow, along with performing limited X-ray procedures.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <p>Patient Care:</p> <p>Greeting and preparing patients for examinations.</p> <p>Taking vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure).</p> <p>Recording patient history and updating medical records.</p> <p>Assisting with procedures, such as injections, wound care, and specimen collection.</p> <p>Administering medications as directed by the physician.</p> <p>Providing patient education and instructions.</p> <p>Maintaining a clean and organized exam room.</p> <p>X-ray Procedures:</p> <p>Operating X-ray equipment and positioning patients for procedures.</p> <p>Ensuring proper radiation safety protocols are followed.</p> <p>Developing and maintaining X-ray films.</p> <p>Maintaining and troubleshooting X-ray equipment.</p> <p>Administrative Tasks:</p> <p>Scheduling appointments and managing patient flow.</p> <p>Maintaining patient records and ensuring proper documentation.</p> <p>Preparing and maintaining medical supplies and equipment.</p> <p>Answering phones and handling patient inquiries.</p> <p>Specifications</p> <p>Experience</p> <p>Minimum Required</p> <p>Experience in a clinical setting, preferably in an ambulatory care environment</p> <p>Preferred/Desired</p> <p>Minimum of one year experience.</p> <p>Education</p> <p>Minimum Required</p> <p>High School Diploma or equivalent</p> <p>Training</p> <p>Minimum Required</p> <p>Approved nursing or medical assistant course</p> <p>Preferred/Desired</p> <p>Special Skills</p> <p>Minimum Required</p> <p>Knowledge of medical terminology, HIPAA regulations, and infection control procedures</p> <p>Strong communication and interpsonal skills</p> <p>Licensure</p> <p>Certified by the following organizations: NCCT, NAHP, NHA, AMT, AAMA, or AAH ONLY or obtain withing 6 months of hire date.</p> <p>Limited X-ray license or certification (e.g. Limited Medical Radiologic Technologist- LMRT)</p> <p>American Heart Association Basic Life Support ONLY</p> <p>Minimum Required</p> <p>Certified by the following organizations: NCCT, NAHP, NHA, AMT, AAMA, or AAH ONLY or obtain withing 6 months of hire date.</p> <p>American Heart Association Basic Life Support ONLY</p> <p>Limited X-ray license or certification (e.g. Limited Medical Radiologic Technologist- LMRT)</p>
