<p>The Suffolk County Attorney's Office is seeking to hire attorneys for its Extreme Risk Protection Unit (ERPO) located in Riverhead, NY.</p> <p>About The Extreme Risk Protection Unit (ERPO):</p> <p>The ERPO Unit is a specialized unit representing the Suffolk County Police Department in ERPO hearings in Suffolk County Supreme Court. The Unit focuses on keeping guns away from individuals who are at high risk of using them to harm someone else or themselves. The Unit handles over 1,400 cases a year.</p> <p>This Assistant County Attorney role requires someone who has integrity and a commitment to public service and justice.
