Diesel Mechanic - Heber Springs, Arkansas</p> <p>Job Type: Full-Time</p> <p>Pay: $24-$26/hour (based on experience)</p> <p>Overtime: Time-and-a-half after 40 hours, that's $36 - $39/hour</p> <p>Schedule:</p> <ul> <li>Monday-Friday, 7:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. </li><li>50-60 hours/week </li></ul> <p>What You'll Be Doing</p> <p>You'll keep our fleet of garbage trucks running strong by:</p> <ul> <li>Handling repairs, inspections, and safety checks </li><li>Diagnosing and fixing electrical, hydraulic, brake, suspension, and air systems </li><li>Using vehicle computer systems to troubleshoot and adjust engine controls </li><li>Reviewing and completing driver inspection reports </li><li>Logging work in fleet maintenance software </li><li>Test-driving trucks after service </li><li>Pitching in with teammates and keeping the shop clean </li><li>Interacting professionally with drivers </li><li>Taking on other duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>What You Bring</p> <ul> <li>3+ years of diesel or heavy truck maintenance experience </li><li>Proficiency with diagnostic tools and repair techniques </li><li>Basic tool set (we help with a monthly allowance) </li><li>Hydraulic experience is a plus </li><li>ASE certification is a plus </li><li>Class A or B CDL is a plus </li></ul> <p>What You Get</p> <ul> <li>$200/month tool allowance </li><li>Annual boot stipend </li><li>Medical, dental & vision coverage </li><li>401(k) with up to 5% company match </li></ul> <p>For a glimpse into the day-to-day responsibilities of a Waste Connections Mechanic, check out this video: A Day in the Life of a Waste Connections Mechanic</p> <p>#ACBoost</p> <p>Waste Connections is an equal opportunity employer.
