Some of your responsibilities will include:</p> <ul> <li>Assisting with personal hygiene, including bathing, brushing teeth, toileting, and changing linens </li><li>Helping patients with mobility, repositioning, and transfers </li><li>Monitoring and recording vital signs </li><li>Documenting important information in patient charts </li><li>Providing compassionate care, including support for patients nearing the end of life </li></ul> <p>This role involves exposure to bodily fluids and dynamic and sensitive situations. If you're compassionate, resilient, and detail-oriented, you'll play a vital role in ensuring quality care and making a real difference in our patients' lives.</p> <p>Unit Description:</p> <p>The Medical/Surgical, Telemetry Unit is a 45-bed unit located on the third floor at Deaconess Henderson. Care is provided via an interdisciplinary process on a 24-hour basis, 7 days per week to adult in-patients and observation patients. Diagnoses treated include, but are not limited to: diabetes, COPD, pneumonia, bronchitis, asthma, CHF, post MI, CVA, GI and post-surgery.</p> <p>Required: Certifications/Licenses/Education:</p> <ul> <li>Basic Life Support: Health Care Provider, within six months of hire. </li><li>Completion of a high school education or equivalent (GED) preferred </li><li>Successfully complete PCT classes as required by care center/unit. </li></ul> <p>Other Key Words: Entry-Level Patient Care Technician, No Experience Required, Paid Training Provided, On-the-Job Training, Career Growth, CNA, PCT, Medical Surgical</p>
