The Database Developer will be responsible for contributing to the design, development, and maintenance of our database systems. The Database Developer works with all functional teams to plan, test, and implement database modifications. As a Database Developer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the integrity, performance, and reliability of our data infrastructure. We support the technological needs of multiple established private jet brands.</p> <p>Duties & Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Plan, test, and implement the safe modification of multiple database environments during software upgrade cycles. </li><li>Create, deploy, and modify SQL queries. </li><li>Implement performance improvements and DDL modifications on SQL queries. </li><li>Develop SQL code that is efficient, smart, and impactful. </li><li>Monitor the performance, scalability, and security of SQL Server instances. </li><li>Learn about the private jet / fractional jet industry and develop SQL solutions to enhance the capabilities of our operations and owner services teams. Our operations systems are core to our business. Your work will be highly visible. </li></ul> <p>Education & Experience</p> <ul> <li>Experience in database development, database design, and database performance tuning with SQL Server in an on-line service environment. </li><li>Thorough understanding of Microsoft SQL Server 2019-2022 and SQL Always On Availability Groups. </li><li>Strong understanding of Microsoft SQL Server security, performance monitoring and optimization techniques, indexes, constraints, transactions, stored procedures, triggers, cursors, locking, and query tuning. </li><li>Ability to adapt quickly to an existing, complex environment. </li><li>Candidate should be self-motivated, independent, and exhibit exceptional relationship management skills. </li><li>Exceptional attention to detail. </li><li>Well-developed interpersonal skills that are conducive to a team culture. </li><li>Possess excellent organizational skills, and communication skills both written and verbal. </li></ul> <p>A Plus but Not Required:</p> <ul> <li>PowerShell development and automation experience. </li><li>Have prior experience in travel or aviation. </li><li>Have experience with geolocation data and services. </li></ul> <p>#LI-BS1</p> <p>Flexjet is an equal-opportunity employer.
