<p>Description</p> <p>Boulder County Office of Financial Management (OFM)Department is seeking to hire a Bilingual Procurement Engagement and Outreach Specialist.This position is a lead/specialist level classification. The position performs highly complex and specialized professional duties which include developing and managing a procurement outreach program. The specialist will partner with related agencies to increase awareness of contracting opportunities with the county.</p> <p>This is a full-time, benefitedposition that will work Monday - Friday, 4 daysa week remotelyand 1 daya week in the office.Hours are flexible and subject to negotiation. This position will work out of 2020 13th Street Boulder, Colorado. Under Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) guidelines, this position is exempt.</p> <p>Boulder County requires its employees to reside in the state of Colorado as of the first day of work.</p> <p>Hiring Salary Range: $68,976 to $84,138 Annually</p> <p>Tentative Hiring Timeline:</p> <ul> <li>Phone Screening: May 30th </li><li>First Round Interviews: June 3rd </li><li>Second Round Interviews: June 9th </li><li>Language Proficiency Test: June 12th </li><li>Reference Check: June 13th </li></ul> <p>New employees receive an 80-hour bank of vacation at the time of hire, in addition to 8 hours of both vacation and medical leave accruals each month (Must not have been employed at Boulder County during the 12 months prior to re-hire date to qualify). Visit studentaid.gov for more information.</p> <p>Examples of Duties</p> <ul> <li>Conducts outreach and training for businesses regarding procurement opportunities </li><li>Focuses on additional outreach efforts for diverse businesses and other small businesses to inform them about upcoming bid opportunities </li><li>Creates training material for businesses on how to navigate the county bidding process and provides related training </li><li>Provides training for small businesses on how to create a bid or proposal response </li><li>Works with county offices and departments to promote future bid opportunities </li><li>Focuses outreach for large county projects </li><li>Acts as a liaison between the county and local businesses </li><li>Makes use of regional certification directories to perform outreach </li><li>Identifies obstacles to minority-owned and woman-owned business enterprises (MBE/WBEs) in contracting </li><li>Develops outreach programs designed to attract MBE/WBE contractors and subcontractors to projects </li><li>Creates training materials for prime contractors on how to reach MBE/WBE subcontractors for county contracts </li><li>Facilitates meetings between businesses and program managers and facilitates procurement events and workshops </li><li>Performs related work, as required </li><li>May be reassigned during emergency situations </li></ul> <p>Required Qualifications</p> <p>PLEASE NOTE: When completing your application describe all relevant education and experience, as applications are assessed based on the required qualifications listed.
