<p>PRIMARY PURPOSE:</p> <p>The primary responsibility of the Busperson is to maintain the entire restaurant, including the dining room, storerooms, food pick-up area, and beverage station according to established cleanliness and stock standards.</p> <p>Position Status: Hourly, Full-Time</p> <p>Location: Gold Strike Casino</p> <p>PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Work with servers to ensure proper guest service. </li><li>Polish flatware, set up tables with appropriate silverware, glassware, linen, condiments, and accessories, fold napkins properly, and ensure ashtrays are clean and available on tables in designated smoking areas. </li><li>Clear, clean, and sanitize booth/chair cushions and tables completely, and reset with clean linens, ashtrays, votive candles, glassware, and any additional tabletop items needed. </li><li>Remove dirty dishes, debris, and linens from the table and bring them to the kitchen for proper washing and disposal of trash in designated receptacles. </li><li>Coordinate table availability and constantly communicates with Server, Hostess, and Management to ensure tables are turned efficiently. </li><li>Serve water, coffee, and soft drinks, refilling when needed. </li><li>Ensure that dining room floors are clean and free of debris. </li><li>Perform other job-related duties as requested. </li></ul> <p>MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:</p> <ul> <li>One (1) year of experience in a restaurant as a Bus or Food Runner. </li><li>Experience working in a similar resort setting. </li></ul> <p>KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Effective listening abilities with strong judgment skills. </li><li>Knowledge of health, safety, and sanitation regulations. </li><li>Knowledge of hotel services, features, local attractions, and activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately. </li><li>Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all business contacts. </li></ul> <p>WORKING CONDITIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Able to stand, walk, run, lift to 50 lbs., etc. for extended periods </li><li>This is not intended to include every duty or responsibility of the job nor is it intended to be an all-inclusive list of the skills and abilities required to do this job. </li></ul> <p>This position may require strenuous physical activities and exposure to pipe, cigar, and/or cigarette smoking.
