Patients over the age of twelve years may be admitted to this unit, but the average age is 65 years.# The highest volume of patients will be observation / short stay patients.# The most common types of patients admitted to 2 Parkview Tower includes patients with: angina, R/O or Post MI, cardiac dysrhythmia, CAD, COPD, CHF, and syncope / TIA.# The top three diagnoses for this unit are: A. Coronary atherosclerosis of native coronary artery, B. Atrial fibrillation, and C. other chest pain. Registered Nurse Roles and Responsibilities: Responsible for implementing, directing, communicating and documenting the nursing process.
