<p>Uxbridge High School is seeking a dedicated, knowledgeable and student-centered Junior Varsity Baseball Coach to lead and develop our high school program at the JV level. The JV Coach will work closely with the Varsity Head Coach and Athletic Department to foster athletic skill development, teamwork, sportsmanship, and character in alignment with school and district values. This positions works under the general supervision of the Principal and Athletic Director.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities: Plan and conduct organized, structured practices focused on fundamentals, skill development, and team strategy. Teach proper baseball techniques, conditioning, and injury prevention. Organize lineups, manage substitutions, and implement in-game strategy. Understanding of MIAA pitch count rules Prepare athletes for advancement to the varsity level. Ensure proper supervision of student-athletes during games and travel. Foster teamwork, leadership, and sportsmanship among athletes Communicate effectively with athletes, parents, coaching staff, and administration Ensure compliance with school, district, and state athletic association policies</p> <p>Qualifications: Previous baseball coaching or playing experience (high school, collegiate, or higher preferred). Strong knowledge of baseball fundamentals and strategy. Ability to mentor and motivate high school student-athletes. Excellent communication and organizational skills. CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain prior to season start).
