If you have expertise in machining, assembly techniques, and manufacturing processes, and are looking for your next career move, apply now.</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>We are looking for a Engineer Specialist to lead and optimize manufacturing processes for quality and output. This position will be Full-Time from 7am to 4pm and Onsite in Hampton, VA.</p> <p>What You'll Do</p> <ul> <li> <p>Act as a process leader for machining, assembly, or other TE manufacturing processes, ensuring optimum levels for quality and output</p> </li><li> <p>Serve as an expert in mold tooling, die tooling, machining, and other manufacturing tooling and assembly techniques</p> </li><li> <p>Optimize and standardize machining/assembly processes within the manufacturing environment</p> </li><li> <p>Align TE BU plants to meet TEOA requirements, roll out CoE and Best Demonstrated Practices (BDPs), and advise plants on tool and machine duplications, corrections, and improvements</p> </li><li> <p>Design and develop manufacturing process platforms and automation platforms for new product developments and optimization of existing products in production</p> </li><li> <p>Apply extensive knowledge of applicable TE systems (SAP, TLM, CAD, etc.)</p> </li><li> <p>Support Product Development in optimizing tools for piece part production and selecting suitable manufacturing concepts based on planned quantities, quality requirements, and manufacturing location</p> </li><li> <p>Interface between engineering and manufacturing/production to ensure manufacturability of new designs and smooth production ramp-up</p> </li><li> <p>Support research and development teams in producing sample manufacturing equipment, product samples, and prototypes</p> </li></ul> <p>What You'll Need</p> <p>Required:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Basic knowledge of technical tools specific to the job function (e.g., CAD, CAE, industrial or quality engineering tools)</p> </li><li> <p>Basic awareness of general engineering tools such as LEAN, 6-sigma, DoE, FMEA, QFD, etc.</p> </li></ul> <p>Preferred:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Experience running individual small projects or project tasks, such as creating/modifying detailed drawings or conceptual models from layouts, rough sketches, or notes</p> </li><li> <p>Familiarity with detailed engineering tools and processes for manufacturing optimization</p> </li></ul> <p>Physical Demands</p> <ul> <li> <p>Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor</p> </li><li> <p>Must be able to communicate with customers/team members over the phone and in person</p> </li><li> <p>Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.</p> </li></ul> <p>#LI-AL2</p> <p>Reasonable accommodation statement</p> <p>If you require a reasonable accommodation in completing this application, interviewing, completing any pre-employment testing, or otherwise participating in the employment selection process, please direct your inquiries to application.accommodations@cai.io or (888) 824 - 8111.</p> <p>$40.00 per hour</p> <p>The pay range for this position is listed above. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including location, experience, and education.
