<p>The Director, AI, Automation and Data will be responsible for shaping and executing AdvanSix's enterprise-wide data, automation, and AI strategy. This leader will establish a strong data foundation through robust master data management, create a unified data layer to enable actionable insights, and drive adoption of AI/GenAI tools across the business. The role requires both strategic vision and hands-on execution, building and leading high-performing teams (internal and outsourced) to accelerate digital transformation. The director will foster a data-driven culture, ensuring governance, innovation, and automation enhanced decision-making, operational efficiency, and long-term business value.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <p>Data Management & Governance</p> <ul> <li> <p>Develop and oversee enterprise-wide master data management (MDM) strategy.</p> </li><li> <p>Establish and lead a network of data stewards across functions.</p> </li><li> <p>Define and enforce data governance frameworks, policies, and standards.</p> </li></ul> <p>Unified Data & Analytics</p> <ul> <li> <p>Architect and implement a unified enterprise data layer for consistency and scalability.</p> </li><li> <p>Drive business reporting, dashboarding, and advanced visualization capabilities.</p> </li><li> <p>Partner with business functions to enable outcome-focused analytics.</p> </li></ul> <p>AI & Automation Strategy</p> <ul> <li> <p>Define and execute AdvanSix's AI and automation roadmap, including GenAI adoption.</p> </li><li> <p>Identify and lead initiatives to automate key manufacturing and back-end business processes (Finance, HR, Supply Chain) using technologies like Robotic Process Automation (RPA), machine learning, and intelligent workflows.</p> </li><li> <p>Monitor emerging AI/automation technologies and assess business applicability.</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and ethical AI standards.</p> </li></ul> <p>Culture & Leadership</p> <ul> <li> <p>Build, mentor, and lead a high-caliber team of internal data scientists, analysts, and engineers, supplemented by external outsourced partners.</p> </li><li> <p>Foster a data-driven culture by embedding data literacy across the enterprise.</p> </li><li> <p>Act as the primary evangelist for the power of data, analytics, and AI within the company.</p> </li></ul> <p>Business Enablement & Transformation</p> <ul> <li> <p>Translate business needs into data and AI solutions that drive measurable outcomes.</p> </li><li> <p>Collaborate with digital business technology partners to accelerate transformation.</p> </li><li> <p>Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on data, automation, and AI trends.</p> </li></ul> <p>Basic Qualifications</p> <ul> <li> <p>Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field. Master's degree preferred.</p> </li><li> <p>10+ years of progressive experience in data, analytics, AI, or automation roles.</p> </li><li> <p>5+ years of experience leading people.</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrated experience in master data management, data governance, and reporting.</p> </li><li> <p>Strong track record in building and leading high-performing technical and cross-functional teams.</p> </li><li> <p>Hands-on experience with enterprise data platforms, cloud-based analytics, and automation technologies.</p> </li><li> <p>Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including ability to influence at senior levels.</p> </li><li> <p>Experience in manufacturing, chemicals, or industrial sectors.</p> </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li> <p>Prior responsibility for developing AI/GenAI strategies and roadmaps.</p> </li><li> <p>Familiarity with modern data platforms (Snowflake, Databricks, Azure Synapse, etc.).</p> </li><li> <p>Certifications in Lean Six Sigma, Data Governance, or AI/ML.</p> </li><li> <p>Experience managing vendor/outsourced service provider relationships.</p> </li></ul> <p>Compensation</p> <ul> <li>The expected compensation range for this role is $168,500 - $252,700. </li></ul>
