<p>Provides routine indoor and outdoor custodial maintenance services for various assigned municipal buildings and grounds. The anticipated schedule for this opening is Monday through Friday, 7:00AM to 3:30 PM, but could adjust based on need.</p> <ul> <li>Performs general custodial maintenance of municipal buildings including wall, ceiling, and window washing, upholstery cleaning, dusting, and painting. </li><li>Cleans and maintains floors including carpeting, tile, and concrete. </li><li>Cleans restrooms. </li><li>Removes trash and recyclables. </li><li>Maintains and replenishes cleaning and related supplies and equipment. </li><li>Assists maintenance supervisor and maintenance technician as needed. </li><li>Moves furniture and sets up meeting rooms. </li><li>Performs minor plumbing tasks as required. </li><li>Removes snow and salts walkways. </li><li>Replaces light bulbs when needed. </li><li>Performs other duties as necessary to maintain a properly presentable facility. </li></ul> <p>KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES</p> <ul> <li>Sufficient strength and dexterity to operate power cleaning equipment safely. </li><li>Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods. </li><li>Ability to bend and stoop frequently. </li><li>Ability to frequently work on ladders at various heights. </li><li>Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. </li><li>Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing, including through email. </li><li>Ability to work with computer/tablet-based work request system. </li><li>Knowledge of the occupational hazards and ability to work safely and take precautions. </li><li>High school diploma or GED. </li><li>Experience in general maintenance, floor and carpet maintenance. </li></ul> <p>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS</p> <ul> <li>Operation and use of custodial equipment and supplies. </li></ul> <p>PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS</p> <ul> <li>Tasks involve physical operations requiring closely coordinated performance </li><li>Times where exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. </li><li>Task involves extended period of time standing </li></ul> <p>ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS</p> <ul> <li>None.
