<p>Job Description</p> <p>Manages, plans, organizes, and evaluates the daily operation, staff, and quality control of multiple laboratory disciplines and/or shifts. Provides operational leadership and by interacting with clients, presenting organizational capabilities, defining scope of work and delivering results through execution and technical guidance.</p> <p>Job Responsibility</p> <ul> <li>Provides leadership to Clinical Laboratory Operations' team members and </li></ul> <p>supervisors by communicating and guiding toward achieving department</p> <p>objectives.</p> <ul> <li>Develops, communicates, and builds consensus for goals in alignment with the </li></ul> <p>health system.</p> <ul> <li>Manages day-to-day activities and staff; hires, trains, disciplines, and supervises </li></ul> <p>staff.</p> <ul> <li>Evaluates performance and ensures appraisals are completed on a timely basis; </li></ul> <p>sets daily priorities and delegating work assignments; ensures scheduled staff</p> <p>hours and vacation provide adequate coverage; ensures maintenance of employee</p> <p>and operational records.</p> <ul> <li>Manages the development and validation of analytical methodologies for a wide </li></ul> <p>range of pharmaceutical dosage forms.</p> <ul> <li>Ensures results by solving problems of a diverse scope; drives initiatives outside of </li></ul> <p>standard work function; leads investigations.</p> <ul> <li>Collaborates and effectively communicates with clients and internal groups. </li><li>Collaborates with business development and contracts to assist in project definition </li></ul> <p>and costing.</p> <ul> <li>Ensures timely completion and compliance and all other relevant company training </li></ul> <p>requirements.</p> <ul> <li>Motivates a high performing team to meet the current and evolving needs of the </li></ul> <p>business through effective selection, training and development, coaching and</p> <p>mentoring and performance management.</p> <ul> <li>Performs related duties as required. Duties not</p> <p>mentioned here, but considered related are not essential functions.</p> <p>Job Qualification</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree required. </li><li>Current License to practice as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist in New York State required, plus specialized certifications as needed. </li><li>6-8 years of technical experience, required and 2-5 years of leadership/management experience, preferred OR Master's Degree with 2-4 years of technical experience. </li></ul> <p>This position Oversees Pathology at both Northern Westchester Hosptial and Phelps Memorial Hospital</p> <ul> <li>Additional Salary Detail </li></ul> <p>The salary range and/or hourly rate listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation that may be offered to a successful applicant for this position at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.
