<p>The Policy Research Collaborative (PRC) seeks a motivated, organized and detail-oriented Research Coordinator to support research activities on multi-faceted food justice research and evaluation projects. The PRC collaborates with community partners with organizations and communities to conduct research supporting their policy and program initiative to address racial, gender and class disparities-and build equity--in the areas of food, housing, health and education. The PRC also creates opportunities for Roosevelt students, faculty, staff and the community-at-large, to engage with community partners and initiatives, as well as to learn about applied research and experiential learning methods.</p> <p>The Policy Research Collaborative seeks a Research Coordinator with a strong background in collaborative research or project participation and a commitment to research with and for communities working to identify and address systemic injustice. Reporting to the Director of the Policy Research Collaborative, the Research Coordinator supports project management, research activities and administrative activities related, but not limited to, evaluation of suburban Cook County implementation of the Metro Chicago's Good Food Purchasing Initiative (GFPI), an approach to implementing the Good Food Purchasing Policy that aims to contribute to increasing equity, affordability, accessibility, and consumption of high quality, culturally relevant good food for all communities within the Chicago regional food system.</p> <p>The PRC is part of a multi-institutional team that collaboratively designs that are explicitly committed to approaches to engagement, research and project implementation in ways that build racial, class and gender equity in the food system.
