<p>A Day in the Life:</p> <p>The Senior Corporate Accountant provides management with financial information by researching and analyzing accounts, preparing journal entries in Oracle and performing account reconciliations.</p> <p>We expect the starting salary to be around $90,000; the actual salary will be determined based on years of relevant work experience</p> <p>What You'll Do:</p> <ul> <li>Prepares internal and external reports by gathering and analyzing information from the Oracle general ledger system and from departments. </li><li>Analyzes information and options by developing spreadsheet reports; verifying information. </li><li>Prepares general ledger entries in Oracle related to the company's debt facilities and various reserves and accruals, including completing ad-hoc queries in Oracle and FCCS. </li><li>Preparing account reconciliations in excel and ARCS. </li><li>Assists in all aspects of the external audit, including the preparation of audit schedules as needed and collaboration with the auditors. </li><li>Ensures compliance with Hertz policies, internal controls, and Sarbanes-Oxley Act. </li><li>Special projects as needed. </li><li>Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential. </li><li>Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations. </li><li>What We're Looking For: </li><li>Minimum 3 years of hands-on accounting experience; Debt Accounting Preferred </li><li>Bachelors Degree in accounting required; CPA preferred </li><li>Experience with preparing journal entries in Oracle, Oracle queries and account reconciliations </li><li>Deadline-Oriented, Time Management, Attention to Detail, Confidentiality, Productivity, General Math Skills </li><li>Working knowledge of MS Excel/MS Word/MS Office </li><li>Ability to work well and communicate with various leads within the organization and to work closely as required with other functional areas such as tax, treasury, and corporate finance </li><li>Strong analytical and accounting skills </li><li>Problem solving ability </li><li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team and take on new tasks with high level of difficulty </li></ul> <p>What You'll Get:</p> <ul> <li>Up to 40% off the base rate of any standard Hertz Rental </li><li>Paid Time Off </li><li>Medical, Dental & Vision plan options </li><li>Retirement programs, including 401(k) employer matching </li><li>Paid Parental Leave & Adoption Assistance </li><li>Employee Assistance Program for employees & family </li><li>Educational Reimbursement & Discounts </li><li>Voluntary Insurance Programs - Pet, Legal/Identity Theft, Critical Illness </li><li>Perks & Discounts -Theme Park Tickets, Gym Discounts & more </li></ul>
