If you are seeking to further your knowledge and growing practical experience in areas of civil engineering - let's, get your application in and the process started!</p> <p>The Engineer Intern will learn engineering tasks working in collaboration with the design team to complement the academic knowledge gained during their course of study. The Engineering Intern will perform routine quality engineering tasks using standard procedures under supervision by a Project Engineer.</p> <p>What You'll Be Doing:</p> <ul> <li>-Primary Responsibilities-- </li><li>Working in collaboration with the design team to assist in preparation of technical reports, analysis/calculations, and construction documents. </li><li>Preparation of permit applications and submittal packages to Agencies having jurisdiction. </li><li>Coordination with clients, sub-consultants, permitting agencies, utility providers, contractors, and other parties associated with the project. </li><li>Periodic travel to perform site investigations and construction observation. </li><li>Review of specifications and shop drawings, field observations, preparation of inspection reports, and other construction administration tasks. </li><li>Collaboration with other departments within CPH such as Survey, Architecture, MEP, Structural, Landscape Architecture, and Environmental to assist with project completion. </li><li>Research, interpretation, and implementation of relevant codes and client requirements. </li><li>Implementation and utilization of CPH and client standards and templates. </li></ul> <p>What You'll Need:</p> <p>Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Experience with MS Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook. </li><li>AutoCAD experience is a plus. </li><li>Ability to exercise critical thinking and good independent judgement. </li><li>Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team. </li><li>Good social, communication, written, and organizational skills. </li><li>Ability to effectively multi-task and work on multiple projects while adhering to project schedules and budgets. </li><li>Flexibility in work schedule to accommodate project deadlines. </li><li>Detail-oriented, quality-conscious, reliable, and self-motivated. </li></ul> <p>Education and Experience:</p> <ul> <li>Presently engaged in a B.S. in Civil/Environmental Engineering program from an ABET-accredited institution. </li><li>EI/EIT Certification is great - not required. </li></ul> <p>Work Environment:</p> <p>The work environment features below are representative of those an employee meets while performing the essential functions of the role.</p> <p>This position is in a professional office environment.
