<p>Job Title: Quality Technician</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>You will be responsible for conducting manufacturing in-process inspections and receiving material inspections in accordance with drawing, manufacturing order, and purchase order requirements. You must possess experience and demonstrate proficiency using calibrated measuring and test equipment, with a background in inspecting and handling electronic equipment and manufacturing methods. Good written, verbal communication, and computer skills are essential for success in this role.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Use predetermined methods, operations, setups, and prescribed specifications to visually inspect in-process and completed products such as electronic units and subsystems, precision electromechanical assemblies, or mechanical units and subassemblies. </li><li>Inspect for structural flaws, internal defects, and missing welds using various measuring devices and testing equipment. </li><li>Accept, reject, or rework defective or malfunctioning units or systems. </li><li>Work from blueprints, diagrams, dial indicators, preset micrometers, scales, fixtures, customer specifications, drawing or inspection instructions, and checklists. </li><li>Monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures. </li><li>Perform line clearances after each lot to ensure all materials from the previous lot have been removed. </li></ul> <p>Essential Skills</p> <ul> <li>Experience in inspection, quality assurance, and quality inspection. </li><li>Proficiency in documentation, BOM, blueprints, and configuration management or revision controls. </li><li>Ability to use standard inspection equipment such as micrometers, verniers, height gauges, gauge pins, and CMM. </li><li>Experience with visual inspection, non-conforming quality control, and quality checks. </li><li>Two years of relevant experience. </li><li>Must be able to obtain and maintain a government clearance. </li></ul> <p>Additional Skills & Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Experience with quality inspection, calipers, micrometers, visual inspection, non-conforming quality control, blueprints, gauges, and CMM. </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>This position is a 1st shift role, located onsite in Pocasset, MA.</p> <p>Job Type & Location</p> <p>This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New Bedford, MA.</p> <p>Pay and Benefits</p> <p>The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $28.00/hr.</p> <p>Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
