<p>POKER LEAD</p> <ul> <li>Location: Running Aces Casino Hotel Racetrack - 15201 Running Aces Blvd, Columbus, MN 55025 </li><li>Schedule: Full Time shifts include weekends and holidays. </li><li>Perks: Medical, Vison, and Dental Benefits for full-time positions, 401k, employee discount, Uniform provided, Paid Time off, ESST (PTO, sick, bereavement, and holidays) </li></ul> <p>POSITION SUMMARY:</p> <p>The Poker Lead ensures employees are providing excellent customer service and supervises poker room personnel working in their respective areas.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Preserves the integrity of the games by providing close oversight of employees and guests in their respective areas, while continually maintaining observation for dealer/player misconduct. </li><li>Offer input to the Casino Manager to help make the card room more successful. </li><li>Enforces performance standards, policies, and procedures related to Poker games, ensuring compliance with the gaming regulations. </li><li>Enforce and support company policy with knowledge and understanding of all Running Aces approved Poker Games, while holding extensive knowledge of department processes. </li><li>Ensure that only authorized personnel use computer for company business only and that gaming equipment is being used by authorized personnel. </li><li>Able to maintain confidentiality. </li><li>Supervises dealers, Podium Host, and all other card room personnel to ensure proper performance of duties. </li><li>Assumes all responsibilities of poker room personnel, including, but not limited to, board, running chips and dealing games when necessary. </li><li>Ensures all gaming equipment is returned and secure; never leaving cash, chips, tournament chips, cards, etc. unattended. </li><li>Suggest alternative games to players if their first choice is not available in an effort to get players included in all games. </li><li>Constantly observes the sign-up board and making sure that all procedures are followed when starting games or breaking games to ensure that all dealers are treated fairly at all times. </li><li>Ensure the Shift Manager is contacted to validate all Poker Jackpots. </li><li>Maintain positive customer relations, evaluate play and extend complimentary services when appropriate. </li><li>Maintains knowledge of current Casino promotions. </li><li>Maintains a visual presence on the casino floor at all times. </li><li>Ability to make impartial and unbiased decisions surrounding problems and/or errors. </li><li>Communicate to Shift Manager any irregularities or discrepancies that occur on a table or with a guest. </li><li>Ability to effectively coach individuals on company and departmental policy/procedure violations. </li><li>Must know and adhere to all game protection policies. </li><li>Perform additional duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>JOB REQUIREMENTS:</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent </li><li>2-3 years floor and/or dealing experience </li><li>Dealing and training experience of all varieties of Stud, Hold'em, and Omaha </li><li>Must be able to work in crowded and noisy environments </li><li>Ability to be on your feet for long periods of time. </li><li>Ability to handle stressful situations and noisy conditions, while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor at all times. </li><li>Must maintain a calm and patient attitude when coaching individuals or while handling difficult customers and employees. </li><li>Must be able to lift and carry up to 20 lbs </li><li>Must have high patience level to be able to train individuals </li><li>Must be able to handle difficult customers and employees </li></ul> <p>SKILLS & ABILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Accountability - Ability to accept responsibility and account for his/her actions. </li><li>Communication - Ability to communicate effectively with others using spoken word. </li><li>Customer Oriented - Ability to take care of the customers' needs and exhibit a cheerful demeanor toward others while following company procedures. </li><li>Reliability - The trait of being dependable and trustworthy. </li><li>Time Management - Ability to utilize the available time to organize and complete work within given deadlines. </li><li>Safety - Ability to identify and correct conditions that affect employee safety. </li></ul> <p>We are committed to providing salary ranges for all open positions.
