This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounting professional who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and is excited to contribute to the success of a people-focused hospitality brand.</p> <p>If you're detail-driven, highly organized, and passionate about bringing clarity to complex financials-we want to hear from you.</p> <p>POSITION LOCATION: Nashville Support Center, Nashville, TN</p> <p>POSITION SUMMARY</p> <p>Responsible for period-end closing journal entries, high level account reconciliations, general ledger maintenance and other projects and business analyses. This team member will assist with the accurate and timely preparation of financial statements each period, quarter, and year-end.</p> <p>PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES - Including, but not limited to:</p> <ul> <li>Prepare and document closing journal entries each period. </li><li>Assist with the period-end, quarterly, and year-end financial reporting process. </li><li>Distribute weekly reports to various users. </li><li>Perform account reconciliations and analyses. </li><li>Maintain changes to the general ledger and modifications of reports. </li><li>Serve as a liaison between operational analysts and the financial reporting group. </li><li>Review work and processes to ensure financial information is SOX compliant. </li><li>Other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>POSITION QUALIFICATIONS</p> <p>Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.</p> <p>SKILLS & SPECIFICATIONS</p> <p>Experience/Training:</p> <ul> <li>4-6 years of significant staff accounting or related experience. </li></ul> <p>Required:</p> <ul> <li>Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP and general accounting. </li><li>Ability to manage multiple time demands and deadlines. </li><li>Ability to prepare financial analyses from general ledger data. </li><li>Understanding of computerized accounting system. </li><li>Advanced Excel skills. </li><li>Outstanding interpersonal, problem solving and decision-making skills. </li><li>Strong communication skills (verbal and written). </li><li>Detail oriented, positive attitude and a proven ability to succeed. </li></ul> <p>Preferred:</p> <ul> <li>Public accounting experience. </li><li>JD Edwards experience a plus. </li></ul> <p>Certifications & Licenses:</p> <ul> <li>Certified Public Accountant preferred. </li></ul>
