Website: BVSD.</p> <p>Location: US:CO:BOULDER</p> <p>School: Casey Middle</p> <p>Position Title: Math Interventionist-MS</p> <p>Position Start Date: August 5, 2025</p> <p>Position Type: Teachers-Licensed</p> <p>FTE: 0.967 - 38.68 hours per week - Regular, ongoing</p> <p>Work Schedule: 186 Days</p> <p>Closing Date: May 21, 2025</p> <p>Our People Are Our Strength in BVSD</p> <p>Summary:</p> <p>A BVSD teacher demonstrates a strong knowledge of the curriculum and content area while positively impacting student achievement through innovative instructional strategies and effectively managing the learning environment. The Math Interventionist will provide intervention instruction to students and help facilitate Data Driven Instruction Meetings (DDI). A BVSD teacher demonstrates a strong knowledge of the curriculum and content area while positively impacting student achievement through innovative instructional strategies and effectively managing the learning environment. The Math Interventionist position requires a commitment to accelerating all students to grade level proficiencies using an in-depth understanding of the theories of mathematics instruction . An interventionist will work closely with other school interventionists, administrators, classroom teachers, parents and their Teacher Leader to support a school-wide systematic approach to increasing student achievement. This position is also responsible for school-wide test coordination including CMAS and ACCESS.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Effectively manages the learning environment. </li><li>Values student diversity and support the unique learning needs of each individual student. </li><li>Exhibits a growth mindset through participation in high quality professional learning. </li><li>Conducts screening/diagnostic assessments in reading and writing. </li><li>Implement math instruction/interventions focused on identified outcomes. </li><li>Conducts ongoing progress monitoring assessments for each student and enters student data into an online data management system on a regular basis. </li><li>Coordinates the logistics for math instruction for students performing below/above grade level in math and facilitate data sharing meetings. </li><li>Works closely and collaboratively with Administrators, General Education Teachers, English Language Development Teachers, and Special Education Teachers, sharing responsibility for individual targeted or intensive instruction. </li><li>Communicates regularly with parents. </li><li>Support implementation of data driven instruction as part of the school improvement work. </li><li>Support the work of educators to improve their effectiveness at closing the achievement gap and improving outcomes for students across the district. </li><li>Encourage, coach, and monitor data driven instruction in collaboration with the Principal. </li><li>Support the network teams to connect with schools. </li><li>Identify best practices to increase data driven instruction for teachers. </li><li>Meet and plan with teachers to promote data driven instruction. </li><li>Attend and/or plan professional development activities. </li><li>Work with district supervisors and school improvement teams to assist in accomplishing goals, objectives, and activities indicated on Unified Improvement Plan (UIP). </li><li>Work with content area and classroom teachers to research and develop related standards based classroom assessments and communicate information aligned to the strategic plan. </li><li>Builds internal capacity of school personnel and school leadership teams to become effective users of data. </li><li>Assist school with analyzing summative school data and plan for improvement using strengths and opportunities. </li><li>Assist teachers and administrators with using formative assessment data in classroom instruction. </li><li>Organize, oversee and manage school-wide testing like CMAS and ACCESS testing. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <p>Required:</p> <ul> <li>Currently hold a Colorado teaching license or have licensure application in process with appropriate endorsement in a Elementary Education, or have licensure application in process with appropriate endorsement, or willingness to acquire endorsement as: Math Specialist (must upload license or in process documentation to application) </li><li>Minimum of three years experience working with student data analysis </li><li>Communicate (read, write and speak) in English </li><li>Completed and submitted BVSD online application </li></ul> <p>Preferred:</p> <ul> <li>Bilingual Spanish/English </li><li>Understanding of practices and protocols used to support Data Driven Instruction (DDI) </li><li>Diagnostic and prescriptive skills in math. </li><li>Experience with MTSS/RTI structures including interim assessments, targeted instruction and progress monitoring. </li><li>Experience with linguistically diverse and other diverse learners. </li><li>Highly skilled at using digital resources. </li><li>Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines. </li><li>Ability to function well in self-directed activities, work collaboratively, and take initiative to complete tasks. </li><li>Ability to effectively communicate with administrators, teachers, specialists, and parents, both verbally and in writing. </li><li>Skilled in group facilitation, coordination, and leadership. </li></ul> <p>Salary Information:</p> <p>Salary Placement varies according to experience and education.</p> <p>BVSD engages in a salary placement process vs. a salary negotiation process. This information is provided in compliance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act and is the company's good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation range and benefits offered for this position. The compensation offered to the successful applicant may vary based on factors including experience and education.
