<p>Status: Temporary / Seasonal</p> <p>Essential Duties and Responsibilities (This is not an exhaustive list of all duties/responsibilities. Other duties may be assigned)</p> <p>Eligibility/Selection/Enrollment/Attendance:</p> <ul> <li>Administer education content, information, guidance, and preparation for the GED examination </li><li>Prepare materials and classrooms for class activities </li><li>Establish and enforce rules and procedures for student behavior and expectations </li><li>Prepare for classes and keep written evidence of preparation (i.e., lesson plans) </li><li>Assign and grade class work and homework </li><li>Observe students to determine qualifications, limitations, abilities, interests, and other characteristics </li><li>Document students' academic skills & development </li><li>Develop class schedules per student need </li><li>Conduct academic assessments and develop IEPs for each student </li><li>Along with the HEP Project Coordinator and GED staff, set appointments for GED testing with local IHEs </li><li>Co-coordinate and co-facilitate new student orientation </li><li>Comply with all grant requirements, goals, and objectives </li><li>Assess new students per standards and procedures set forth by CC Idaho </li><li>Submit program reports, participant attendance sheets, test scores, transcripts, certificates, etc. in a timely manner </li><li>Supervise GED Instructional Assistant </li><li>Attend staff meetings, serve on committees, and attend opportunities for professional development as required </li><li>Incorporate and utilize audio and visual equipment during instruction </li><li>Prepare and advise students for further education by encouraging them to explore learning opportunities such as college courses, internships, prospective employers, job placement services, or military service </li><li>Refer students to ESL classes at local GED centers </li><li>Refer students to remedial programs for students requiring extra help </li></ul>
