<p>Job Title: Design Research Intern</p> <p>Lifetime Products, located in Clearfield, Utah, designs and manufactures consumer products for major retailers around the world, including Sporting Goods, Lawn & Garden, Water Sports, Play Sets, and Tables & Chairs. www.lifetime.com</p> <p>For Summer of 2026 we are seeking a talented and passionate Design Research Intern to assist our research team. As an integral part of our design process, you will be responsible for conducting in-depth user research to inform and inspire our product development. If you have a keen eye for hard goods design, a curiosity for user behavior, and a knack for translating insights into physical, innovative, solutions we have an amazing opportunity for you. This position is a paid internship that is onsite in Clearfield, Utah. Drug screen and background checks will be completed prior to hire.</p> <p>SKILLS</p> <ul> <li>Conduct thorough research on market trends, user behaviors, and emerging technologies in the consumer goods sector. </li><li>Employ a user centric approach, actively engaging with customers through interviews, surveys, and usability testing to gather valuable insights. </li><li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate research findings into the design process, ensuring products meet users needs and expectations. </li><li>Translate research findings into actionable design recommendations, contributing to the development of innovative and user-friendly products. </li></ul> <p>Education and Experience Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Currently enrolled in a major with a Design User Research emphasis. </li><li>Proven experience in Design Research, with a strong portfolio showcasing successful projects in the consumer goods space. </li><li>Excellent communication skills and ability to present research findings in a clear and compelling manner. </li><li>Proficiency in using various research methods, with focus in meeting with customers to understand their needs. </li><li>Experience using qualitative research methods including observation, interviewing, and contextual inquiry. </li><li>Familiarity with traditional design tools and software. </li></ul> <p>If you are passionate about leveraging user research to shape the future of consumer goods and thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment, we invite you to apply!</p>
