<p>Posting Number temp hourly961P Quick Link for Internal Postings https://jobs.wcu.edu/postings/25016 Classification Title Working Title Box Office Lead - Bardo Arts Center Department Bardo Arts Center Salary Range $9-12/hr Posting Information</p> <p>Position Summary</p> <p>This position works directly with supervisors on site at the Bardo Arts Center Box Office to lead box office staff, provide service management support, troubleshoot the BAC ticketing system, and assist with box office ticket sales and administrative duties for Bardo Arts Center throughout the performance season. This position is expected to lead by example and step in as needed by supervisors and management to provide guidance, support, and motivation to box office assistants, ensure assistants are following policy and procedures, capture performance event data, assist with reconciling event sales, and to act as the first key resource for assistant questions, problems, and concerns during performance hall and BAC rental events.</p> <p>Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Required for this Position</p> <p>EXPECTATIONS</p> <ul> <li>Serve as a welcoming, courteous, and professional presence for visitors and customers </li><li>Be knowledgeable of all relevant policies and procedures; Ask when you don't know </li><li>Commit to the full term (one semester) </li><li>Follow opening and closing procedures outlined by supervisor </li><li>Arrive to your shift on-time and prepared to work </li><li>Maintain confidentiality of all matters regarding sensitive information </li><li>Cross train with other student workers in positions throughout Bardo Arts Center and assist in foster a well-rounded, knowledgeable, and experience informed team. </li></ul> <p>HOURS</p> <ul> <li>Maintain a flexible work schedule, as assigned, and discussed in advance, and submit bi-weekly time sheets </li><li>Attendance at all Bardo Arts Center performance hall events is required </li><li>Attendance at some Bardo Arts Center rental events, such as Bridge Church, is required </li></ul> <p>Daily Available Shift Hours:</p> <p>Tue: 10 AM - 4 PM</p> <p>Wed: 10 AM - 4 PM</p> <p>Thur. 10 AM - 7 PM</p> <p>Fri. 10 AM - 4 PM</p> <ul> <li>Adjustment of hours involving evening and/or weekend work is required </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <p>APPLICANT REQUIREMENTS</p> <ul> <li>Applicants must be enrolled in at least two courses and have a minimum GPA of 2.0 </li><li>Applicants must have a High school or GED diploma </li><li>Excellent interpersonal skills required for in person and over the phone service </li><li>Ability to communicate effectively, follow written and oral instructions, and read or write information correctly </li><li>Customer service skills including the ability to read visitors, be patient and attentive to visitors needs and the ability to communicate effectively with the public; demonstrated ability to meet and greet customers of all ages and backgrounds in a non-discriminatory educational environment </li><li>Organized, with good time management and prioritization skills - able to easily handle several tasks simultaneously </li><li>Creative problem solver.
