<p>The laboratory of Dr. Steven Bensinger, newly appointed Chair of the Department of Immunology and Immune Therapeutics at the Keck School of Medicine of USC, is seeking a highly motivated Research Laboratory Technician II. Dr. Bensinger is a world expert in how lipid metabolism influences the immune system, and the incumbent will play a critical role in supporting ongoing research projects in both innate and adaptive immunity.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Conduct research experiments in accordance with laboratory and safety protocols. </li><li>Prepare and organize laboratory reagents, glassware, and equipment. </li><li>Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment. </li><li>Keep accurate laboratory records and manage stocks and supply inventories. </li><li>Prepare buffers and common stock reagents. </li><li>Perform non-routine, complex assignments with minimal supervision. </li><li>Compile and analyze data from a variety of research procedures and techniques. </li><li>Maintain the laboratory mouse colony (animal husbandry) and ensure compliance with institutional and regulatory safety standards. </li><li>Verify receipt of laboratory supplies and manage ordering. </li><li>Provide general laboratory assistance to ensure smooth research operations. </li></ul> <p>Additional Information</p> <p>This position offers the opportunity to contribute directly to groundbreaking research at the intersection of metabolism and immunity within a dynamic and growing department at USC.</p> <p>The hourly rate range for this position is $25.71 - $31.30.
