<p>Job Title: Chemical Analyst</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>As a Chemical Analyst, you will conduct chemistry testing and equipment qualification efficiently and effectively, following standard operating procedures, regulations, and cGMPs. You will play a pivotal role in customer projects for the Chemistry Laboratory and handle documentation and assessment of test results against specifications.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Review documentation and release incoming materials such as APIs, excipients, and processing auxiliaries. </li><li>Ensure project milestones for the Chemistry Laboratory are met promptly, including laboratory qualifications. </li><li>Establish, review, and approve documentation such as SOPs. </li><li>Conduct, document, and assess analytical testing of raw materials, utilities, and in-process, release, and stability testing of finished products according to SOPs and cGMPs/GLPs. </li><li>Collect samples of raw materials and utilities. </li><li>Train colleagues on mastered techniques in the Chemistry Laboratory. </li><li>Maintain the Chemistry Laboratory in a GMP-compliant state. </li><li>Collaborate with vendors for external qualification and maintenance of chemical analysis instrumentation, and conduct internal qualification and maintenance of the same. </li><li>Review and verify analytical testing results. </li><li>Complete Laboratory Investigations as required. </li><li>Ensure all tasks comply with safety, environmental protection, and cGMP regulations. </li><li>Perform additional tasks as requested by management. </li></ul> <p>Essential Skills</p> <ul> <li>Proficiency in cGMP and GLP practices. </li><li>Strong background in Chemistry, particularly analytical chemistry. </li><li>Experience with HPLC, pH meters, and pH testing. </li><li>Proficiency in MS Office. </li></ul> <p>Additional Skills & Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in a scientific subject. </li><li>1-2 years of experience in a related field. </li><li>Undergraduate research experience is preferred. </li><li>Good knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices. </li><li>Basic knowledge of HPLC and pH meters. </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>You will work in an environment where 50% of your time is spent conducting various chemical tests, and the other 50% involves documentation reviews, equipment management, and peer reviews. The team comprises six members working in a lab setting. The company offers great benefits and opportunities for growth, with plans to open a new site in Des Plaines next year.
