The Night Shift Youth Coach will be responsible for monitoring the youth in the dorms at night. We are looking to hire 3-4 people to cover all shifts for the entire 4-week program. Position allows for activities like reading and homework through the night, as long as they do not distract from the primary responsibilities of the position.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <p>Stay awake from 11 pm to 7 am to monitor the common room and hallways of a dorm</p> <p>Collaborate with other staff to ensure the well-being and safety of youth in the dorms</p> <p>Collaborate with other staff whenever interacting with youth</p> <p>Employ non-adversarial approaches to behavior management</p> <p>Be the first point of contact in case of emergencies</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <p>This is an entry-level position. Training will be provided. Must demonstrate an interest in learning about child development and guidance; a willingness to take direction from the assigned teacher; willing to obtain a food handlers permit, TB test, Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) background check, first aid training are required. Demonstrated human relation and effective human relations skills are also required.</p> <p>Preferences</p> <p>Must pass a background check & drug check</p> <p>Must be capable of staying awake from 11 pm to 7 am</p> <p>Interest and/or experience working with youth</p> <p>Special Instructions Summary Additional Information</p> <p>The University is a participating employer with Utah Retirement Systems ("URS").
