This position offers the opportunity to enhance your current skills, all while providing education and training to fellow staff and making a difference in your community.</p> <p>A caregiver in this position works rotating shifts from 6:30AM - 2:30PM or 9:00AM - 5:30PM, with rotating weekend requirements.</p> <p>A caregiver who excels in this role will:</p> <ul> <li>Lead and coordinate work activities for assigned practice areas and provide feedback to caregivers regarding performance under the direction of the manager. </li><li>Train and mentor caregivers and residents and precept students. </li><li>Participate in interviewing and recommend selection of candidates. </li><li>Triage issues to management and follow-up. </li><li>Participate in operational tasks such as workflow oversight, process decision making, project implementation, and drug shortage management. </li><li>Ensure and maintain quality control in regard to patient care and medication and equipment usage. </li><li>Review and assess medication orders to identify, prevent, and resolve potential and actual drug related problems. </li><li>Advise prescriber of medication related issues and recommend formulary alternatives when appropriate. </li><li>Review, interpret, clarify, enter, and verify patient's information and medication orders for processing. </li><li>Assist with health-system level decision-making related to practice area, committee work, and decision making for relevant policies. </li><li>Provide drug information support for pertinent drug information questions. </li><li>Provide management support and demonstrate leadership for assigned practice area. </li></ul> <p>Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:</p> <ul> <li>PharmD or Bachelor's of Science in pharmacy from an accredited College of Pharmacy </li><li>Current state licensure as a Registered Pharmacist (RPh) or eligible for reciprocation within 90 days of hire </li><li>Basic Life Support (BLS)?Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) and?completion of a Board of Pharmacy approved course in?the administration of immunizations or certification?within 90 days of hire if administering immunizations </li><li>Advanced?Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) or Pediatric?Advanced Life Support (PALS)?Certifications through the American Heart Association (AHA) within one year of hire if responding to adult or pediatric?cardiopulmonary arrest events </li><li>Completion of a Health-system Pharmacy Administration and Leadership (HSPAL) PGY2 Residency OR completion of either a Post-Graduate Year 1 (PGY-1) or Post-Graduate Rear 2 Residency (PGY2) and one year of relevant pharmacy experience OR three years relevant pharmacy experience </li></ul> <p>Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:</p> <ul> <li>Previous leadership experience </li></ul> <p>Our caregivers continue to create the best outcomes for our patients across each of our facilities.
