<p>Position Summary</p> <p>This position provides section level management of a multi-platform IT Section, which provides integration services, custom web applications, and content management solutions in support of the strategic business plans for the DOC divisions and outside agencies. As a Section Chief, this position is responsible for providing leadership, change advocacy, agency representation and participation, and assigning appropriate resources to application development planning or project teams. This position will partner with the members of the BTM management team to develop and deliver consistent, quality IT products and services to the business customers and will assist the Bureau Director with preparation and implementation of short- and long-term information technology plans and setting application development priorities consistent with the plans.</p> <p>This position is also responsible for developing and monitoring operating plans and budgets, policies, procedures, standards and guidelines to insure cost effective, customer focused delivery of system integrations, custom web applications and content management solutions. This position is also responsible for leading supervisors to identify resources needed for each project, determine staffing needs, acquire outside contractor services and manage the staffing resources to provide integration, web development, and content management and support to all Divisions of DOC and outside agencies business customers.</p> <p>Responsibilities also include assisting and advising the BTM Director on priorities, finances, hardware /software purchases, business opportunities and customer service issues related to all divisions of DOC and outside agencies services for integration services, custom web applications and content management development and support. The position is responsible for ongoing evaluation of data systems development methodology, standards, and project management methodology in order to promote increased productivity, quality and customer service, and employee satisfaction. The position participates in BTM, agency and statewide planning efforts, and develops and manages operating plans in support of those efforts.</p> <p>Salary Information</p> <p>The starting pay is between $124800 and $129105 per year, plus excellent benefits. Pay will be set in accordance with the Compensation Plan and Wisconsin Administrative Code in effect at the time of hire. The pay schedule/range is 70-02. The Department of Corrections will conduct criminal background checks on applicants prior to selection to determine whether the circumstances of any conviction may be related to the job being filled. Upon hire, all new DOC employees are subject to fingerprinting.</p> <p>The Department of Corrections may conduct pre-employment drug screens. Any applicant who is offered employment in a position which requires a pre-employment drug screen must pass the screen as a contingency to employment.</p> <p>NOTE: This position is eligible to work remotely up to 3 days per week. For this position, working outside of Wisconsin will not be allowed. You must currently live in or be willing to relocate to Wisconsin.</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Minimally qualified applicants will have experience:</p> <ul> <li>Supervising and managing employees (hiring; evaluating work performance; directing, coaching, and mentoring team members, etc.). </li><li>Managing and implementing application development projects (resource management, ongoing support, technology selection, analysis, and design, etc.). </li><li>Consulting and coordinating with customers on IT business needs and requirements. </li></ul> <p>In addition to the above, well qualified applicants will have experience:</p> <ul> <li>Developing and implementing organizational wide IT standards. </li><li>Setting strategic direction and oversight for the development, configuration, and support of IT systems, including integration services, custom web applications, and content/document management solutions. </li><li>Budgeting, planning, and allocating resources to support the organization's mission and business priorities. </li><li>Establishing and maintaining collaborative relationships at all levels of the organization including executive and management-level leadership. </li></ul> <p>How To Apply</p> <p>To apply, click on "Apply for Job" to start the application process.
