<p>Kforce's client, a growing global financial technology organization located in NYC, is seeking a Vice President, Investment Accounting to oversee the accounting and reporting for its strategic and financial investment portfolio. This newly created, hands-on role consolidates all investment-related accounting activities, from due diligence and initial accounting to monthly close, fair value, impairment analyses, and quarterly reporting. The VP will collaborate cross-functionally with corporate development, finance, tax, legal, and reporting teams, ensuring accurate recognition, measurement, and disclosure of investments while supporting broader finance transformation initiatives.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Oversee monthly accounting for corporate investments, including journal entries, reconciliations, and investment schedules </li><li>Maintain equity method adjustments, basis tracking, and fair value measurement support </li><li>Evaluate investee financial statements, identifying differences in accounting principles and purchase price allocations </li><li>Prepare quarterly impairment analyses, technical accounting memos, and investment disclosures </li><li>Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate reporting and compliance </li><li>Support SOX controls, audits, and process improvement initiatives </li><li>Participate in ad hoc accounting and finance transformation projects* CPA or equivalent; 4-10 years of total accounting experience, including at least 3 years in public accounting </li><li>Strong technical knowledge of US GAAP, including debt and equity investments, equity method accounting, purchase price allocations, and fair value measurement </li><li>Experience with journal entries, reconciliations, technical memos, and complex accounting analysis </li><li>Familiarity with revenue recognition, stock-based compensation, and financing transactions a plus </li><li>Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills </li><li>Experience with ERP systems, FCCS, or data automation tools preferred </li></ul>
