<p>Employment Type:</p> <p>Part time</p> <p>Shift:</p> <p>Rotating Shift</p> <p>Description:</p> <p>Position Purpose:</p> <p>At Johnson Memorial Hospital, the Registered Nurses (RN) in the Behavioral Health Unit provide compassionate care as part of a multidisciplinary clinical team. This collaborative approach ensures comprehensive behavioral health services tailored to meet the unique needs of each patient.</p> <p>What you will do:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate patients' mental health status, identify behavioral health needs, and develop individualized care plans.</p> </li><li> <p>Administer prescribed medications, monitor patients for side effects, and provide education on medication management specific to psychiatric conditions.</p> </li><li> <p>Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, implement crisis intervention strategies, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.</p> </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <p>Required:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Graduation from an accredited nursing school</p> </li><li> <p>Valid RN License in Connecticut</p> </li></ul> <p>Preferred:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Bachelor's degree in Nursing</p> </li><li> <p>The ideal candidate will have one or more years of Behavioral Health experience in an inpatient care setting.</p> </li><li> <p>BLS/CPR certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)</p> </li></ul> <p>Position Highlights:</p> <ul> <li>Per Diem-Rotating Schedule </li></ul> <p>Ministry/Facility Information</p> <p>Johnson Memorial Hospital and Home & Community Health Services provide a continuum of health care services to those living and working in north central Connecticut and western Massachusetts.
