<p>Job Summary:</p> <p>Knife River is looking for a qualified, safe and reliable heavy haul transport driver to deliver equipment. Position may require some hauls out of town/state.</p> <p>As a Heavy Haul Transport Driver your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:</p> <ul> <li>Deliver equipment and materials to commercial and construction projects in a safe and efficient manner. </li><li>Operate a truck pulling a flatbed trailer equipped to transport mining components, and heavy equipment. </li><li>Must have operational knowledge of heavy equipment to be hauled, and ability to load and unload equipment from lowboy trailer. </li><li>Measure load height, length, and width. </li><li>Must be able to use chains and binders to secure equipment and components. </li><li>Must have a working knowledge of DOT heavy haul permitting. </li><li>Maintain equipment, accurate driver paperwork, and legal load limits. </li><li>Be willing to drive other type of truck assigned by supervisor such as belly, side, and end dumps. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Must have previous experience hauling heavy equipment. </li><li>Possess and maintain a valid Class A CDL, Medical card, and clean MVR. </li><li>Equipment operating experience is a plus. </li><li>Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen, physical, and background check. </li><li>Ability to work flexible hours which may include overtime. </li><li>Display a professional and courteous attitude. </li></ul> <p>Knife River is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
