<p>The District Network Technician must possess great customer service skills, good listening, speaking, and writing skills in addition to having an energetic personality that works well in a team environment as well as independently. This position works closely with teachers, administrators, and the technology department to ensure that school and classroom technologies are fully supported. An important part of the technician's role is to help staff improve their understanding of hardware and software, and train users while in the field. The ideal candidate must also possess the determination to find solutions to problems in a timely manner as well as having an interest and aptitude for learning new technical skills. This person will be responsible for maintaining and updating devices and related equipment to such a standard that maximum uptime and use may be made of them at all times. The District Network Technician reports to the Director of Instructional Technology with input from the Network Administrator. RESPONSIBILITIES and DUTIES: (to include but not limited to) Support for Users:</p> <ul> <li>Deploys new or existing technology, resolves technology support requests using an online ticketing system. </li><li>Provide timely support for help desk tickets. </li><li>Provide hands-on hardware and software support to users. </li><li>Troubleshoots common device, software, and peripheral problems independently; escalates problems to other IT staff members where appropriate. </li><li>Ability to repair hardware as needed. </li></ul> <p>Support for Network Administrator</p> <ul> <li>Assists with setting up and maintaining student and staff accounts. </li><li>Assists with the installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of wired and wireless infrastructure </li><li>Assists in maintaining building and 1:1 technology (e.g. laptops, chromebooks, iPads, interactive technologies, etc) throughout the District. </li><li>Assists in the coordination of projects and executing equipment rollouts. </li><li>Assists in maintaining an up-to-date hardware and software inventory. </li></ul> <p>Additional Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Work collaboratively with other personnel in the technology department. </li><li>Adhere to strict confidentiality practices and policies at all times. </li><li>Maintain a clean, safe work area and professional appearance. </li><li>Additional duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Full Time Position, 12 months, 40 hours per week Work schedule to be determined. Salary based on qualifications and experience.</p>
