<p>Thank you for considering a career at Mercy Health!</p> <p>Scheduled Weekly Hours:</p> <p>40</p> <p>Work Shift:</p> <p>Days (United States of America)</p> <p>Registered Nurse (RN) Outpatient Wound Care - Springfield Wound Clinic</p> <p>Job Summary:</p> <p>The Outpatient Wound Care Registered Nurse (RN) position is responsible for delivering exceptional nursing care to patients by:</p> <ul> <li>Utilizing strong organizational and leadership skills to assess patient status </li><li>Implementing clinical nursing interventions </li><li>Having a highly diverse medical skillset </li><li>Developing and performing patient care plans to enhance and improve outcomes </li><li>Ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment </li></ul> <p>Essential Functions:</p> <ul> <li>Promote departmental plans, goals, and objectives </li><li>Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to drive consistency and standardization of best practices </li><li>Provide appropriate wound service coverage in the center </li><li>Administer medications in a safe manner consistent with the State of Practice and the organization's policies and procedures </li><li>Other duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>Education:</p> <ul> <li>Graduate of an accredited nursing program (required) </li><li>Bachelor of Science Nursing (preferred) </li><li>Master of Science Nursing (preferred) </li></ul> <p>Licensure/Certification:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Must possess one of the following:</p> </li><li> <p>Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)</p> </li><li> <p>Registered Nurse (RN) covered by the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC)</p> </li><li> <p>Current Registered Nurse (RN) applicant</p> </li><li> <p>BLS Basic Life Support- American Heart Association (preferred upon hire, required prior to direct patient care)</p> </li><li> <p>Preferred Certifications:</p> </li><li> <p>Certified Wound Care Nurse (CWCN)</p> </li><li> <p>Certified Ostomy Care Nurse (COCN)</p> </li><li> <p>Certified Continence Care Nurse (CCCN)</p> </li><li> <p>Certified Wound Ostomy Nurse (CWON)</p> </li></ul> <p>Experience:</p> <ul> <li>Recent nursing experience in acute care and/or home health care (required) </li><li>Experience in Wound Care and Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (preferred) </li></ul> <p>Training:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Wound Care Centers that offer Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT)</p> </li><li> <p>Completion of Undersea & Hyperbaric Medical Society (UHMS) approved 40-hour course within 6 months of hire and completion of written exam (required)</p> </li><li> <p>EPIC Electronic Health Record (EHR) training (preferred)</p> </li></ul> <p>Mercy Health is an equal opportunity employer.</p> <p>As a Mercy Health associate, you're part of a Misson that matters.
