<p>Great Oak Elementary is looking for a third grade long term subsitute. This assignment will last approximately 6 weeks.</p> <ul> <li>Must have current Connecticut certification Elementary 1-6 (305) </li><li>Experience with elementary school students </li><li>In depth understanding of the Common Core Standards and their implications for instruction </li><li>Experience with current evidence-based practices in Reading, Writing, and Mathematics </li><li>Ability to maintain a strong instructional focus utilizing the elements of effective instruction and communicate a high level of expectation and clear learning goals to students </li><li>Experience adapting instruction to meet the needs of all students and conducting ongoing assessments for learning </li><li>Experience with SRBI/MTSS to support student growth </li><li>Ability to use relevant technology to support and differentiate instruction </li><li>Responsible for creating a positive and safe learning environment, establishing rapport with students, parents and colleagues; motivating students to develop attitudes and knowledge that will help them reach their potential </li><li>Able to direct and supervise instructional assistants </li><li>Desire to work in an inclusionary model </li><li>Proactive team player and effective communicator </li><li>Participate in ongoing professional growth </li><li>Participate in school/professional and/or community organizations or events </li></ul>
