<p>Hadco Construction is seeking a skilled Yellow-Iron Mechanic to join our maintenance team. This position is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing heavy equipment to keep our fleet operating safely and efficiently.</p> <p>What You'll Do</p> <ul> <li>Diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy construction equipment (excavators, dozers, loaders, graders, etc.) </li><li>Perform routine preventive maintenance, inspections, and adjustments to extend equipment life </li><li>Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems </li><li>Complete work orders and maintain accurate service records </li><li>Operate equipment to test functionality after repairs </li><li>Assist with field service calls when equipment issues arise on job sites </li><li>Follow company and OSHA safety procedures at all times </li></ul> <p>What We're Looking For</p> <ul> <li>3+ years of experience as a heavy equipment/yellow-iron mechanic </li><li>Strong knowledge of hydraulics, engines, transmissions, and electrical systems </li><li>Ability to read and interpret service manuals, diagrams, and technical documents </li><li>Experience with diagnostic tools and computerized systems preferred </li><li>Welding and fabrication skills a plus </li><li>Valid driver's license (CDL preferred but not required) </li><li>Must be at least 18 years old and able to pass a pre-employment drug screen </li><li>Physical Demands & Working Conditions </li><li>Regular lifting, carrying, and handling of parts and tools weighing 50+ lbs. </li><li>Frequent bending, kneeling, and climbing on/off equipment </li><li>Work performed in both shop and outdoor environments, exposed to weather and construction site conditions </li><li>Noise, grease, fumes, and heavy machinery exposure are part of daily work conditions </li></ul>
