As a Safety Manager, you will lead and oversee all sitewide safety initiatives, compliance programs, and employee safety training while supporting operational excellence and continuous improvement across multiple shifts. This is a direct-hire opportunity.</p> <p>Benefits Package</p> <ul> <li>Competitive Compensation Package </li><li>Medical, Dental, and Vision Benefits </li><li>Paid Holidays (11) </li><li>Paid Vacation </li><li>Great work environment </li><li>Employee Assistance Program (EAP) </li><li>Care Partners Program </li><li>Health Club Reimbursement Program </li><li>Additional supplemental benefit programs </li><li>401k </li><li>Salary Continuation </li><li>Educational Reimbursement </li><li>FMLA available after 12 months of service </li></ul> <p>Shift Information</p> <ul> <li>Full-time position </li><li>Monday-Friday, typically 6:00 AM - 4:00 PM </li><li>Weekend work required based on business needs </li></ul> <p>Career Path</p> <ul> <li>Platform Manager </li><li>Site Manager </li><li>General Manager </li><li>Director </li><li>Other Corporate Support Functions </li></ul> <p>Required Education and Experience</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree OR High School Diploma/GED with 6+ years of relevant safety experience in a manufacturing or logistics environment </li><li>4+ years of safety leadership experience in a manufacturing or logistics environment </li><li>OSHA 10 </li></ul> <p>Preferred Education and Experience</p> <ul> <li>Lean Greenbelt certification </li><li>Root cause analysis training </li><li>Current OSHA General Industry Outreach Instructor certification (OTI 511 & 501) </li><li>OSHA 30 </li><li>Certified Safety Professional </li><li>OSHA 510 </li></ul> <p>General Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Strong communication and leadership skills </li><li>Customer/client focus </li><li>Organizational and strategic thinking skills </li><li>Problem-solving and decision-making abilities </li><li>Ability to identify workplace hazards </li><li>Ethical conduct and personal effectiveness/credibility </li><li>Ability to mentor, coach, and develop employees </li><li>Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment </li></ul> <p>Essential Functions</p> <ul> <li>Provide total management of MAU staff assigned to multiple shift operations </li><li>Ensure material flow processes meet Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC) standards </li><li>Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations </li><li>Lead and manage the MAU Safety Program onsite </li><li>Facilitate annual safety program assessments and Safety Action Plans </li><li>Manage OSHA-required safety programs and annual training initiatives </li><li>Facilitate onboarding and Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) training programs </li><li>Conduct safety audits using SafetyNet, BBS, and PIT observations </li><li>Maintain and analyze safety data to identify trends and concerns </li><li>Develop training materials, standard work procedures, and safety documentation </li><li>Coach and mentor associates on workplace safety practices </li><li>Serve on MAU and customer safety steering committees </li><li>Provide 24/7 on-call support for safety and HR-related incidents </li><li>Facilitate OSHA 10- and 30-hour outreach courses for associates </li></ul> <p>Work Environment and Physical Demands</p> <ul> <li>Manufacturing and warehouse environments </li><li>Exposure to process manufacturing equipment and industrial vehicles </li><li>Environments may include non-climate-controlled hot/cold conditions </li><li>GMP clean room environments may be required </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Ability to walk up to 6 miles daily </li><li>Ability to lift up to 15 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation </li></ul> <p>Travel</p> <ul> <li>Occasional off-site training and team-building activities </li><li>Less than 25 miles monthly travel required </li></ul>
